“Watercolor Woman”

I did these in my drawing class in college, based of some life drawing sketches I had done. And I just always was drawn to them, especially the one on the left.

Funny story, the one on the right was stolen the one time it was displayed. It was on display with it’s sister piece, and was stolen off the wall of the Wild Vine, which is a gorgeous wine bar that used to be downtown. There is something to be said for someone liking your work enough to steal it. Not that I’m 100% okay with it, but it’s kind of novel. If this had been one of my more elaborate paintings, I probably would have freaked out more.

Watercolor on Paper. 2005.
